【编者按】每年9月30日的国际翻译日是全球口笔译员和术语工作者一年一度的节日。国际翻译家联盟（简称国际译联）每年发布国际翻译日主题，并鼓励全球翻译组织及从业者共同庆祝这一节日。以下为2023年国际翻译日主题发布文章全文。
国际译联理事会很高兴地宣布2023年国际翻译日的主题为“翻译展现多元的人类社会”（Translation unveils the many faces of humanity）。
在今年的国际翻译日庆祝活动中，我们希望大家了解笔译、口译和术语工作不仅在每个人的生活中扮演着重要角色，对于人类社会也具有重要意义。
今年的主题强调翻译揭示多样化的人类经验，我们通过翻译了解不同的文化。气候变化和地缘政治带来的挑战波及全球，翻译在维护人类和地球的和平与安全，推进外交和多边主义、可持续发展、人道主义援助，保障人类尊严和人权等方面发挥着重要作用。
在国际译联成立70周年之际，我们想借此机会向过去多年为国际译联作出贡献的人们致敬。
9月30日，让我们共同庆祝国际翻译日。
背景信息
每年9月30日，口笔译员和术语工作者齐聚一堂，共同庆祝国际翻译日，这一天也是为纪念《圣经》拉丁文译者圣杰罗姆而设。每年，国际译联都会确定统一的主题，并举办海报设计大赛。评选出的海报将供会员组织印制并使用，推广国际翻译日，共同举办与翻译相关的庆祝活动。
2017年，第71届联合国大会一致通过A/RES/71/288号决议，肯定了专业翻译在加强各国交流、推动和平、加深理解和促进发展等方面发挥的重要作用，这对于所有口笔译员和术语工作者来说都具有里程碑意义。该决议将9月30日确定为国际翻译日，联合国系统内也将共庆这一节日。

FIT Council is pleased to announce its chosen theme for International Translation Day 2023: Translation unveils the many faces of humanity.
To honour International Translation Day (ITD) this year, we wish to not only recognise the important role that translation, interpreting, and terminology play in the lives of each of us, but also our shared humanity.
The theme recognises the many ways that translation unveils a world of human experience, allowing us a peek into cultures other than those we know. As climate and geopolitical shocks resonate across the globe, it also plays an important role in addressing threats to peace and security of people and the planet, and in diplomacy and multilateralism, sustainable development and humanitarian aid, human dignity and human rights.
In this 70th anniversary year since the founding of FIT, it also gives us a chance to honour the many faces that make up the history of our federation.
We hope that all our members will again celebrate ITD with us, this 30 September.
Background
Each year, translators, interpreters and terminologists celebrate International Translation Day on 30 September, the feast of St. Jerome. A unifying theme is chosen each year and a competition is held to design a poster for FIT members to print and use to promote the day and join together in celebrating our professions.
In 2017 we achieved an historical milestone for all professional translators, interpreters and terminologists, with the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopting Resolution A/RES/71/288, recognising the role of professional translation in connecting nations, and fostering peace, understanding and development. In the same resolution, the United Nations General Assembly declared 30 September to be UN International Translation Day, celebrated across the entire UN network.
