On November 11^th 2009, Localization Service Committee of the Translators Association of China (hereinafter the LSC) was officially founded in Beijing. Representatives of language service providers, multinational software companies, and translation-related colleges and universities from Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Guangdong and more participated in the meeting. 

As one of the 10 committees of TAC, the LSC consists of Chinese and overseas localization service providers, tool and technology providers, training and education institutions, buyers, consulting individuals and organizations on internationalization and localization who are registered members of TAC.

The LSC will organize seminars and exhibitions about information technologies for localization and internationalization businesses, promote information exchanges and sharing in this field, conduct campus tours disseminating localization knowledge, support the training of advanced talents geared towards the needs of localization businesses, facilitate international exchanges and keep abreast of latest information of the trade, so as to help Chinese companies enter the global market, and provide language services to international companies entering the Chinese market.
