| China Translation Yearbook 2007~2008 was officially published in November 2009 by Foreign Languages Press. This is the second of its kind as compiled by the Translators Association of China since the first one spanning 2005 and 2006 was released in September 2007.
With about 830 thousand words, this newly published yearbook covers the latest happenings of the translation industry in China, in terms of academic research, industry management, translation technologies, events and activities of associations, professional training and international exchanges. It is worth mentioning that the yearbook records in a truthful and comprehensive manner one of the biggest events in the history of translation in the world — the 18th FIT World Congress which was successfully held in Shanghai in August 2008.
The yearbook, published in Chinese, is a biennial publication that collects authoritative and practical information of the development of Chinese translation industry and the latest achievements. It serves as an encyclopedia for references for Chinese translation industry. |
